In Loving Memory of Todd Louis Golden

Todd Louis Golden of Corrigan, Texas, went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. While our hearts are broken by his passing, we are grateful for the many years we were blessed to have him in our lives. Todd leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and love that will remain with his family and friends forever.

Todd was born April 3, 1961, in Houston, Texas, to Sonny and Lavon Golden. He was raised in Channelview, Texas, where he graduated from Channelview High School in 1979.

In 1981, Todd began his career at Arco as an operator. Over the next 38 years, he worked his way through the ranks, eventually becoming a pipeline operator at what is now LyondellBasell. Todd took great pride in his work and in the many friendships he made throughout his career.

Todd married Laura Mick in 1981, and together they raised Bernadette and Jeremy. In 2002, Todd married Donna Alford and in marrying Donna, Todd gained another daughter, Heather, and together they shared a life filled with family, love, and countless memories.

Todd was a man who loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and spent many years running the Bull Creek Hunting Club, where he passed his love and knowledge of hunting down to his children and grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent teaching them, spending time together, and creating memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

When Todd wasn’t hunting, you could often find him in his shop. He loved woodworking and working on projects with his wife and son. But perhaps what he loved most was simply being surrounded by his family. Many evenings were spent talking, laughing, telling stories, and enjoying each other’s company.

Todd was the kind of man who didn’t need to be the center of attention to make an impact. He taught those around him by the way he lived his life. He taught his children and grandchildren the importance of hard work, family, respect, kindness, and doing things the right way. He was warm and generous to everyone he met, and he had a way of making people feel welcome and valued.

The lessons Todd taught will live on through the people who loved him. His children and grandchildren will carry his stories, his wisdom, his values, and his love for them for generations to come.

Todd is preceded in death by his father, Sonny Golden, and mother, Lavon Salyer Golden.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Donna Golden; daughter Bernadette Bordovsky and son-in-law Michael; son Jeremy Golden and daughter-in-law Kandace; daughter Heather Cullum and son-in-law Mike; grandchildren Emma, McKenna, McKayla, Cohen, Lainey, Trey, Weston, and Mabel. Also, by brother Doug Golden and wife Reneé; as well aunts, an uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

His absence will be felt in the quiet moments; on the porch, in the woods, and in the shop where he spent so many hours with the people he loved. The memory of Todd will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

The memorial service will be held on October 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Carmona Community Church, 6091 US-287, Corrigan, Tx 75939.

At the conclusion of the service, family and friends are invited to join us for a reception at 349 Sailor Road, Corrigan, TX 75939.
