Tina’s life was full of love for her family and friends, resilience through hard times, and a spirit that shone brightly. From an early age, she was taught the value of hard work by her mother and through her working years, was employed as a waitress in various restaurants throughout Lufkin and Milam, Texas. She was employed by Morgan Insurance in Lufkin from October 2001 to June 2007, and again from August 2011 to January 2014. She was employed by Lonestar Collision Center in Lufkin as front desk customer service rep. for 3 to 4 years. She also served as a front desk receptionist for Dr. Alexander Orlov and The Heart Institute of East Texas in Lufkin.
Tina attended Brookhollow and Trout Elementary Schools in Lufkin, followed by the 7th grade at Dunbar School, then on to the Jr. High West campus and graduated from Lufkin High School class of 1988. She attended Angelina College, with the initial intension of becoming a Surgical Tech. but soon realized she was not cut out for the "Gory Medical scene".
A proud born-again Christian, Tina was baptized at the age of nine at Parkview Baptist Church in Lufkin by Pastor Morris Goins and on June 25th 2023, she reaffirmed her faith with a second baptism at Freedom Church Lufkin, by Pastor Jordan Collard.
Tina will forever be remembered for her huge heart and bright smile. She gave unconditional love to everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life and (like her Mother) never met a stranger. She gave everyone she met that huge smile no matter who they were. She showed respect to everyone. She was fast to love big and fast to forgive. Her favorite colors were bright green, pink, and purple. Her most recent car was a Neon green and she loved that little car. She loved music of all genres, dancing, singing, painting and was very good at roller skating.
Tina considered her biggest accomplishment in life to be that of her three children, Cole, K.C. and Kodie. Despite the life choices she made that led to the distance in their relationship, her love for them never wavered. She was so very proud of them all and spoke about them most every day. She fully understood the ramifications of her choices and that was her biggest regret to the very end. She often said she hoped that one day they could forgive her and remember all the good times they shared.
Her Granddaughter Bexley was a bright star in her life for the past 5 years. Tina loved Bexley immensely and cherished any time she could spend with her.
