Sheila Garrett Reneau, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 15, 2025, in Livingston, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on April 23, 1950, in Nacogdoches, Texas, Sheila always had a twinkle in her eyes, a smile on her face, and two arms ready to give a big hug. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Sheila is survived by her daughter, Cathy Reneau of Shepherd, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Larry Guthrie of Tomball, Texas; and daughter Christy Reneau of Highlands, Texas. Sheila was a proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Teri, Keri, Chelsea, William, Tiffany, Lauren, and Christa; and 10 great-grandchildren Jesse, Jorden, Beau, Kendall, Blake, Ellie, Natalie, Mark, Lane, and Tyler. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, whom she loved deeply.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Viola Garrett, and her five brothers: Danny, Larry, Johnny, Donny, and James. Their absence is felt deeply, and their memories will forever remain in the hearts of our family.
A visitation will be held in her honor on May 24, 2025, at Nacogdoches Memorial Chapel, located at 4613 Northwest Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, commencing at 10:00 AM and concluding at 10:45 AM.
