Saundra Elaine Napier

Saundra Elaine Napier, born on December 15, 1963, in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Trinity, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her spirit and love for those around her will be deeply missed.

Saundra will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and was a source of warmth and support for everyone who knew her. She was particularly proud of her children, Dustin Otto Barnett and Miranda Napier, and her daughter-in-love Dani Barnett, who brought immense joy to her life. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Scarlett Napier-Khan and Earl Napier-Khan, who were the light of her life.

In addition to her love for family, Saundra had a passion for collecting and reading books, brought her much happiness throughout her life. She found great fulfillment in her service as a lifetime member of the Trinity County VFW Memorial Post 6899 Auxiliary, where she left a lasting impact on her community.

Saundra was preceded in death by her mother Judith Mitchell, father Jimmie Hughes Sr., and brothers Charles and Timmie Hughes. She is survived by her brother Jimmie Hughes Jr. and wife Misty, along with her beloved children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and numerous friends who were fortunate enough to know her.

Although her physical presence may be gone, the memories of Saundra Elaine Napier will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. Her dedication to her family and her community serves as an inspiration to many.
