Patsy Tilda Brumfield, born on December 22, 1955, to Elton Lee and Nona Bee Belyeu, graced the world with immeasurable love and kindness. She found her soulmate in Bobby Frank Brumfield Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful life, raising four cherished daughters: Kelly (the late Richard) Sandoval, Melissa (Jason) Farley, Andrea (Billy) Chancler, and Peggy (Clay) Lowrey. Together, they were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, along with many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Patsy now joins her beloved Bobby Frank, her parents, and all of her siblings except one dear sister, leaving behind a legacy of love with her daughters and their families. In her later years, she shared a home filled with love and banter with her best friend and sister, Betty Stringer, forming a bond like no other. Patsy's presence will be sorely missed in that home.

Deeply adored by all who knew her, Patsy was a beacon of sweetness and warmth. To know her was indeed to love her. Despite enduring numerous health challenges, her spirit remained unyielding until her peaceful passing on August 6, 2026.

Patsy’s memory endures in the cherished stories and cherished recipes passed down through generations, ensuring her legacy of love and togetherness continues to enrich the homes of her family.

Today our hearts are broken, but also incredibly grateful. Broken because we’ve had to say goodbye to our mom, and grateful because we were blessed enough to have her as our mother.

There are no words that truly feel big enough to describe what she meant to us. She was more than our mom. She was a part of who we are. She was someone we could turn to, someone whose love we could count on, and someone whose presence made life feel a little safer and a little more like home.

Our mom taught us so much—not just through the things she said, but through the way she lived. She taught us about strength, about love, about giving, and about being there for the people you care about. We will carry those lessons with us for the rest of our lives.

When we think of her, We don’t want to remember only these final days or the pain of losing her. We want to remember her smile. Her laugh. The sound of her voice. The little things she did that we may not have realized were so precious at the time. We want to remember the moments when she made us feel loved simply by being there. Or calling us on our birthdays, just to sing Happy Birthday to us.

There will be so many moments in the future when we will wish we could pick up the phone and call her. So many things we will want to tell her. So many times we will wish we could hear her voice or get one more hug. And we know those moments will hurt.

But we also know that love doesn’t disappear when someone dies.

Our mom’s love will continue to live in us. It will live in the lessons she taught us, in the memories we made, in the people she loved, and in every part of us that she helped shape.

We hope we can live our lives in a way that would make her proud. We hope we can carry her kindness, her strength, and her love forward. And we hope that whenever we see something beautiful, hear a song she loved, or experience one of those ordinary moments that suddenly brings her to mind, we will remember that being her daughter was one of the greatest gifts of our lives.

Mom, we each wish we could have one more day with you. One more conversation. One more hug. One more chance to tell you how much we love you.

Thank you for being our mom. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for everything you gave us, everything you taught us, and every memory you left behind.

We will miss you for the rest of our lives.

But we will love you for the rest of our lives , too.
