Marvin Adams Snowden, 55 of Lufkin, Texas passed away June 28, 2023 peacefully at his home. A man of humor, adventure, and great skill. Marvin was born on November 2, 1967 to parents; E.M. and Doris Tubbs Snowden, in Dayton, Texas. Marvin was known for his infectious laughter and hands-on approach to life. He will be forever cherished by his loving family.

Marvin attended Lufkin High School, where he demonstrated an early aptitude for mechanics, a talent that would shape his career and personal life. After his school days he channeled his love for mechanics into a reputable Millwright mechanic. His work ethic, coupled with his natural talent, made him a respected figure in his field. Marvin’s colleagues valued his ability to solve complex problems with ease and his knack for infusing humor into even the most stressful situations.

Beyond his career life, Marvin was a man of many passions. He was an avid fisherman and camper, always eager to explore the great outdoors. His adventurous spirit led him on countless trips, each on a testament to his love for nature and exploration. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Mavin loved gardening, He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Onda while tending their garden.

Marvin was not just a handyman; he was a man who lived life to the fullest. He was always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day, and he was not afraid to take on new challenges, whether it was repairing a complicated piece of machinery or planning a camping trip.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Donna Jean Snowden and a brother, known as Baby Jimmy.

Survivors include his wife, Onda Annette Snowden, children; Brittney Nicole Newman and husband Randy, Cory Snowden, Amanda Anderson, grandson; Benson Anderson, brother; Bobby Snowden and wife Martha, Robert Carver, Lonnie Gene Carver, Ethel Carver, Secelia Carver and Cody Carver. Sisters-in-Law; Rachel Armstrong and Cherl Armstrong, Aunt; Charline Tubbs, special friends; Steve Hulsey, Raymond Womack and Jimmy Scott

Marvin Adams Snowden’s life was a journey of laughter and adventure. His memory will be forever etched in the hearts of his loved ones as a man who lived his life with passion and purpose. He will be remembered for his humor, his adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication to his family and work. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Marvin attended the New Life United Pentecostal Church in Huntington, Texas.
