Lorena Faye Wingate, 76 of Mount Enterprise, Texas passed away at her daughters home surrounded by her family on August 20, 2026. She was born on February 20, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Ralph and Elsie Mae Cooper. Lorena went to school in Cushing, Texas and later married the love of her life, Jimmy. They were married for 55 years before his passing. They lived in Houston for 25 years, then retired from managing 7/11 stores. Then moved to Mount Enterprise, Texas and became owner/operator of thier own trucking company. Lorena was his dedicated co-pilot. While not running the trucking company she spent her time with her family and being an active member of Calvary Temple church in Mount Enterprise. She loved, to berry pick with her grandkids, bake desserts, and enjoyed weekend visits to the nail salon and shopping. She took pleasure in word searches, puzzles, and music. Lorena was selfless and will be remembered for her warm kind heart and her humor was incomparable. She is survived by her son John Wingate and wife Sherri, and their children Christopher and Suanne, daughter Samantha Birdwell and husband Mark and their children, Faleasa, Jessie, Tabitha, and Shelbi, son Roger Wingate and wife Jeannine and their children, Niki, Justin, and Levi. As well as, Brother Ralph Cooper and wife Debbie, Margie Channel and husband Ronnie, Elizabeth McCoy, and sister in law Teresa Cooper. She is also survived by her 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elsie Cooper, her husband Jimmy Wingate, her brothers Howard Cooper and Ralph E. Cooper, sister Frances Channel, and her great great grandson Colsen Wimberley.

Among the many blessings in her life was the unconditional love she shared with her special Chihuahua, Poochie, who was always by her side. Her beloved companion held a special place in her heart and was a constant source of love.

She was also lovingly cared for by her niece, Stacey, who devoted her time, love, and compassion to making sure she was comfortable and never alone. She was blessed to have someone who loved her so deeply and cared for her faithfully until the end.
