Kendall Jace Collins, affectionately known as "Rawhide," left this world on March 2, 2026, at the age of 32. Born on December 16, 1993, in Beaumont, Texas, Kendall grew up in a loving family and brought joy to all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Longview High School in 2011, Kendall nurtured a spirit of helpfulness throughout his life. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, often sitting with those who needed companionship or assistance at Day Hab, playing games on their behalf and allowing them to revel in the joy of winning prizes. This kind-hearted nature made him a cherished presence among his peers.
Kendall had many interests that brought him joy and laughter. He loved watching action-packed movies, indulging in video games, and singing karaoke. His fondness for Walker Texas Ranger was well-known, and he always carried a Walker Texas Ranger badge with him, a testament to his admiration for the show. He also enjoyed visits to Dollar King and relished meals from Hartz Chicken, which served as little delights in his everyday life.
One of his proudest accomplishments was his work at CiCi's Pizza in Brenham, Texas, where he was recognized as the most efficient box folder. Kendall also embraced the spotlight, becoming the Day Hab's own Elvis and playing the role of Joseph in a Christmas play, which allowed him to shine brightly during the holiday season.
Kendall leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory. His father, Doug Collins of Raymondville, Texas, mother, Debbie Collins of Lufkin, Texas, and stepfather, Derrick Reynolds of Riverside, Texas, along with his brothers, Brian Collins (Jennifer and Isaiah) of Lufkin, Texas, and Ryan Collins (Jessica) of Pollock, Texas, siblings, Kelli Collins (Faithlynn Collins) of Lufkin, Kimberly Collins (M.J. Perez and Malachi Collins) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Kelsey Collins of Bryan, Texas, and aunts, Anita Martin of Lufkin, Texas, and Jana and Alonzo Maxie of Hooks, Texas, special niece Nikita Logan, as well as many cousins.
A special thanks to his caregivers, Catina Wilson, Justin Reuter, and Liz Morquecha.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin (The Auctioneer) Wilson and Ollie Wilson, as well as his stepfather, Donald Logan Jr.
Kendall Jace Collins' legacy of kindness, joy, and unwavering support for others will continue to inspire those who knew him. His larger-than-life personality and compassionate heart will be dearly missed but undoubtedly remembered fondly by all who crossed his path. Kendall always believed in giving, and is donating his organs to others who have been praying and waiting for their miracle.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Harborlight Church, 109 Jones Street, Lufkin, Texas.
