He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering support, which touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jake's formative years were spent in Corrigan, Texas, where he graduated from high school, nurturing his dreams that would eventually find full expression in his passion for life. A devoted husband to Joyce Helm, he found profound joy in the shared journey of love and companionship. Together, they crafted a life filled with cherished memories, their bond an enduring testament to their mutual respect and admiration.
A son of Alvin and Charlotte Helm, Jake embodied the values instilled in him by his loving parents. He was not only a cherished child but a devoted family member who fostered deep connections with his siblings: Sherry and Robert Walthall, Melissa and Rodney Latham, Andrea and Dunnis Jolly, Vicki and John Warner, as well as his brothers David Helm and Miranda Gray, and Steven and Tracy Helm. Their relationships were a source of strength and laughter, punctuated by countless family gatherings marked by warmth and joyous camaraderie.
Jake's heart swelled with pride as he embraced his role as a father to his children, Haileigh Cozzone, Alyssa Simpson, Lane LeBlanc, Kacey Parham, and Stormie LeBlanc.
