Harry O'Neil Armstrong

We are here to celebrate the life of Harry O’Neal Armstrong. He was born on August 20, 1941in Panola County, Texas to Winnie Mae Wallace Armstrong and Earl Armstrong. He lived in Lufkin, Texas where he worked as a maintenance mechanic at Lufkin Industries old welding shop for ten years. In 1976 he met the love of his life, Cynthia Holocombe and on October 3, 1977 she became his wife of 48 years. Together they had five children; Sharon Armstrong, Angela Sterling, Charmain Sharpe, Harry Armstrong and Charlie Armstrong. Four grandchildren; Noah Armstrong, David Sterling, Shelby Sterling, and Brian Sterling and four great-grandchildren; Gracie Sterling, Sophie Sterling, Kris Sharpe,and Nick Sharpe. He is also survived by brothers and sisters; David Armstrong, Hubert Armstrong, Hellen Smith, Linda Allen, Onda Snowden and Rachel Jackson, and Catlina Smith.

Preceded in death by his mother and father; Winnie Mae Wallace Armstrong and Earl Armstrong, brothers; Lloyd Armstrong, Earl Armstrong Jr. “Scooter”, Johnny Armstrong, Timothy Armstrong, and Joseph Armstrong, and a step-mother; Wanda Armstrong.

Harry Loved hunting, fishing, driving race cars and watching big butt women while getting in his truck at Walmart. He loved going to McDonalds for breakfast. He always said his days were numbered and if anyone cried at his funeral he would get up and leave.
