Hadcock, Doris Laneil

Passed away peacefully at Southland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, in Lufkin, TX, on August 31, 2025, at age 86. Doris is now at peace in the arms of her Savior! Lovingly remembered by her son, Keith, and his wife, Karen, and grandchildren, Doc, Thomas, Emma, and Chloe. Sadly missed by her cherished sisters, Maxine Skinner and Nadine Reynolds, as well as by many nieces and nephews. She had a special bond with her nephew Steve, who was always there for her. Her dear chihuahua, Chandler, will greatly miss Doris.

Mother to Richard Bingham, Christopher Bingham (Jacqueline), and Steven Bingham, and grandmother to Josh (Katherine), Malia, and great-grandmother to Eleanor, Evelyn, and Elizabeth.

Born to Neil Scroggins and Iva Doris Stewart Tucker, Doris grew up in Garrison, Texas. After years of working for Sprint as an administrative assistant, she was so happy to be able to retire and return to Nacogdoches, where she lived for many years, alongside her precious chihuahua, Chandler, who brought her so much joy! In her later years, Doris was a proud volunteer with the Foster Grandparent Program and loved to work with the first-grade students. She was not only able to teach and spend time with the students, but they also taught her many things. Doris loved to sew and created many outfits for her sons, and later for her grandchildren. Doris also crocheted many beautiful afghans and doilies. She was always watching Perry Mason, Judge Judy, or old westerns.

Doris is predeceased by her parents, Neil Scroggins and Iva Doris Stewart Tucker, brother Kenneth Scroggins, and sister Zeta Gerhards.
