Gail Bonner Husband, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Wells, Texas at the age of 70. Born on December 19, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, she was person of unwavering kindness and warmth, known for her genuine spirit and servant heart.
Gail dedicated over 37 years of her life to serving at Lufkin State Supported Living Center, where her compassionate nature made an impact on those around her. She embraced every opportunity to lend a helping hand and spread joy, embodying the true essence of a servant heart. Her radiant smile and big hugs were a testament to her loving personality.
She and Ron married September 18, 1982 where they lived on Lake Sam Rayburn and spent their years building their beautiful lake home and raising their daughter Whitney. She loved to garden and spent much of her free time outside enjoying all that it provided. Throughout her life, she cherished the joy of spending summers at the lake, indulging in water skiing, and creating lasting memories with her family. The holidays were particularly special to her, as she loved cooking and decorating, especially for Christmas, bringing her family together in celebration.
An alumna of Texas Women’s University, Gail had a passion for helping others with a degree in medical records, where she attended Lubbock Christian for 2 years prior and graduated from Whitney ISD.
Gail took immense pride in her family & community cherishing her daughter Whitney and her grandchildren: Ayden Burch, Korleigh Carver, Chance Hollis, Chanleigh Hollis, and Chasen Hollis. Her devotion to her family, church and as a CASA volunteer was evident in everything she did, and her legacy lives on through her devotion.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron Husband; daughter & son-in-law Whitney & Chase Hollis; grandchildren Ayden Burch, Korleigh Carver Chance, Chanleigh, and Hollis; brother Jay Bonner; sister and brother-in-law Mark and Jackie Dyer; brother and sister-in-laws Wayne and Peggy Wilson & Tim and Lyn Vowell; mother-in-law Betty Husband and numerous nieces & nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie Joe and Frances Bonner; brother Kirk Bonner; and father-in-law, Taylor Husband.
As we remember Gail Bonner, we celebrate a life filled with love, kindness, and cherished moments. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
