Deborah Lynn Scott

Deborah Lynn Scott, 65, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, in Richmond, Texas, Born on November 28, 1960, Deborah was the beloved daughter of John “Jack” L. Behles and Marcella “Sue” Ann Conley Behles.

Deborah courageously fought Stage 4 pancreatic cancer for 17 months. Throughout her journey, she demonstrated remarkable strength, courage, and perseverance. Her illness was only one chapter of her life, however, and she will be remembered most for the love she gave to her family and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.

Deborah was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children: Brian Scott and his wife, Theresa; Brittany Hartnett and her husband, Rick; and Brandon Scott and his wife, Holly. She was a proud grandmother to Patrick Scott, Addison Hartnett, and Ashton Hartnett, who brought her immeasurable joy and love.

She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Pierson and her husband, Butch; and Trish Rocovits and her husband, Jerry. She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” L. Behles and Marcella “Sue” Ann Conley Behles, and her brother, John A. Behles.

Deborah’s family finds comfort in knowing that her earthly suffering has ended and that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Grand Parkway Baptist Church, 12000 FM 1464, Richmond, Texas 77407.

A private burial will take place at a later date in Sheridan, Wyoming, where Deborah will be laid to rest alongside her parents and her beloved brother, John.
