Daniel Martin

Daniel Thomas Martin, age 62, died peacefully at his home in Lufkin, Texas on the morning of Friday, December 19th, 2025.. Daniel was born on February 4, 1963 in Riverside CA to Patricia Burkholder and Raymond Martin. Dan grew up in Oregon and California, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. At age 19, Dan began his career at Western Signs, where he remained until his retirement. His creativity and ingenuity led his family to affectionately title him the “Fix-it-Angel.” A California native, Daniel moved to Texas in 2022 and cherished spending his final years living as a Texan.

Dan is survived by his father Raymond Martin, Mother Patricia Burkholder, brother Leroy (Tony) Martin his former wives, Melissa Ellis and Lindy Muehsam and their children Brienne Hope Muehsam, Christopher Sean Martin and his spouse Aizada Martin, Brandon Thomas Martin, Rebecca Danielle Martin-Rowe and her spouse Keaton William Rowe, Jerod Dean Ellis and his spouse Kimberlee Conklin, Jesika Marie Black and her spouse Mathew Lyons. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Killian Ellis, Zander Lyons, Jace Martin and Kai Martin, along with many beloved friends and relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at his residence in Lufkin, Texas on Friday December 26th, 2025. Per his wishes, his ashes will be spread in the mountains of California, where he spent his best years camping and exploring with his family.
