Charles David Young

Charles David Young was born on July 30, 1954 in Snyder, Texas and passed away peacefully at his home in 

Nacogdoches, Texas November 12, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was 71 Years old.

As a young man, Charles had a family with a son and daughter

in Odessa, Texas where he worked in the oil field. In the late

1990's. Charles moved alone to Nacogdoches, Texas to work at

Pinelands as a Building Maintenance Engineer.

In 2001 Charles began his career with Nacogdoches County in

the Health and Environmental Service Department. He retired

from the Courthouse in 2020 as head of that department.

After 19 years Charles enjoyed his retirement and spent his

final years at his home fixing things that didn't work, building

Home and Garden projects, watching movies and having long

conversations with friends and family. His sharp intelligence

and unique sense of humor are missed everyday by those

who knew him.

Charles leaves behind a wife Donna Phillips, a son Josh,

a daughter Felicia, 7 grandchildren, a brother Bob, a

sister Debbie, and a few close friends who were dear to him.
