Brenda Faye Drake 82, of Lufkin, Texas passed away March 15, 2023 in Lufkin, Texas. She was born October 31, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama to parents, Emory and Ruby Willoughby Dailey. Brenda graduated from Galena Park High School. She married James Drake on June 6, 1958.

Brenda was a faithful and devoted mother she dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She and James were the proprietors of Drake’s Brass and Things. She loved the outdoors, and loved to water ski with her family, especially slalom in which she was very proficient. Brenda was a known good cook she will be remembered for her famous fried chicken. She was known for her practical jokes. Brenda also possessed extensible organizational skills.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Drake, who passed away on October 28, 2002,a daughter, Delinda McNamara, brother, Raymond Dailey and sister Carolyn Dailey, and grandson, Ryan Scaillet.

Brenda is survived by her son Darrell Drake, daughter Dana Myers, grandchildren; Bethany Oliver, Marcus Drake, Shelby Myers, Mich McNamara, and Derrick English; great grandchildren, Graham Oliver, and Hadley Oliver; brother, Charles Dailey; sisters, Linda Marlow, Peggy Bristow and Debbie Allen.
