Alford was a dedicated husband and family man. His favorite hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren and of course fishing.
Alford is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Talmadge, father, Thomas Fred Anderson, sisters; Bessie Rogers, Ella Faye Crow, Emma Ruth Anderson, brother, James T. Anderson, and son-in-law, John T. Booth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Linda Anderson, daughters; Angela A. Booth, Shellie L. Anderson and husband Paul L. Barrett, grandchildren; Ashis (Cody) Chowdhury, Anwar (Andy) Chowdhury, Makenzie Macpherson, Maddex A. Macpherson, and Mason A. Macpherson, and nephew, Michael W. Elskes.
