Trampus Lee Smith, Sr., 58, of Corrigan, TX, passed away on December 17, 2021, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, TX. Trampus was born and raised in Deep East Texas, the son of the late, Walter Wesley Smith, Sr., and Doris Jasmine (Stout) Smith Adkison. Trampus worked in the logging woods most of his life and enjoyed spending time outdoors and “tinkering” on automobiles. When he wasn’t fishing or under a car hood, he could be found spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandchildren. Trampus is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bonnie (Haltom) Smith, Lufkin, TX, sons; Michael (Lauren) Tant, Jr., of Vidor, TX, Trampus Lee Smith, Jr., of Lufkin, TX, daughters; Jasmine LaNelle Smith, Kaula Marie Smith, and son-in-law, Reggie Harper, all of Lufkin, TX, grandchildren; Jeremiah Smith-Albro, Dallas, TX, Jordan, and Laylah Richards, both of Crockett, TX, Annabella LaNelle Smith, Lufkin, TX, Kendall, Cash, and Waylon Tant, all of Vidor, TX, sister; Rebecca (Travis) Bell, Corrigan, TX, brother-in-law; Doyle Haltom, Lufkin, TX, sister-in-law; Kate Smith, Corrigan, TX and numerous family and friends. Trampus was preceded in death by his father, Walter Wesley Smith, Sr., beloved stepfather, Thomas Daniel Adkison, his mother, Doris Jasmine Adkison, brother, Walter Wesley Smith, Jr., and granddaughter, Jaylah Marie Smith-Albro.
