It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Marshall, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who after a hard battle with cancer, left this world at the age of 76. Born July 28th, 1947 in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada, Terry’s life was a tapestry woven with kindness, laughter, love, and genuine connections.
Terry’s unwavering love for his family defined his existence. He is survived by his devoted wife Loni, their combined children, Vincent, Lori, Toni, Travis, and Paige; his adoring grandchildren, Toni, Mikey, Zoe, Ellie Jo, Catherine, Taylor, Minna, and Boone; his siblings, Rick and Debra; and his niece Teagan. Terry is preceded in death by his father Rupert Marshall and his mother Cathrine Hansen.
A man of many talents, Terry joined the workforce starting at age fifteen at a service station in Canada. From there he worked in oil until he led a crew of his own as a seismologist and began traveling the world. He finally settled in Texas to raise a family in Lamesa and opened a business selling equipment for seismology. His last move was to Huntington, Texas where he dedicated decades of his life to the craft of millwrighting and oil analysis. As a skilled artisan and hardworking individual, he spent his later years shaping and maintaining the machinery that fueled the industries. Even after retirement, he was often contacted for his wealth of invaluable knowledge.
Beyond his professional achievements, Terry embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a pilot and an avid traveler, and he explored the world with an open heart and a curious spirit. He loved floating on the lake for a good day of fishing, as well as golfing on the greens for a good challenge on the fairways. His tales of adventures enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to hear them. After retirement, his favorite place was on his porch in his own woods of paradise.
Terry graced this world with laughter, intelligence, and sharp wit with a humor that could brighten the darkest room and a mind as quick as his tongue. He leaves behind a legacy of smiles and unforgettable moments and will be remembered for his sarcastic quips, clever comebacks, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His departure leaves a void, but his
spirit lives on in the countless hearts he touched. May his laughter continue to echo in our memories as we celebrate a life well-lived.
