Nelda Standley

Nelda Standley, 54, of Lufkin was born in Harlingen, Texas on January 20, 1968, to Mateo Jr. and Dora Torres Ramirez. She passed away on March 24, 2022. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Tuesday, March 29th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in the McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Roberts officiating. Nelda was a loving daughter, wife, and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and spent many hours praying over her family, especially her children. Nelda was always interested in learning more about her heritage and was incredibly kind to others. She would help anyone in need-stranger or friend. Nelda’s bright and charismatic energy was contagious, and her smile lit up even the darkest of rooms. She has left a legacy that lives on in the lives of all she impacted, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Nelda leaves behind her mother, Dora Ramirez of Lufkin; loving husband, Craig Standley, of Lufkin; 2 daughters: Franchesca and William Eddie Martin, Jr. of Lufkin and Mikka and Garrett Luksovsky of Victoria; 3 grandchildren: William Martin III, Kynlee Martin, and Aliyana Martin, all of Lufkin; sister, Cynthia and Ron Minter of Grapevine; brother, Mateo Ramirez III of Austin; a stepdaughter, Samantha; stepson, Dillon Standley of Lufkin; mother-in-love, Jeanell Standley of Lufkin. Nelda also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends- all of whom she loved very much. Nelda was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Francisca Martinez.
