A devoted life long best friend, Linda Francis Clinton, of Galveston, Tx. A bonus son, Billy C. Kestner, wife Cayenne, and daughter Arabella of Nacogdoches, Tx. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Cookie was born on February 27, 1947, in Houston, Tx to the parents Frank and Carmen Cook. She was raised in Denver Harbor and was a graduate of Milby High School. After living in Houston for her childhood and young adult life, Cookie moved to Nacogdoches in the early 80's. However, she let her gypsy soul take over, which resulted in the development of hundreds of wonderful friendships during her travels to another "map dot" that would became her next home. Her love of the ocean finally landed her on the Bolivar Peninsula for many years, until finally returning to Nacogdoches in 2005, where she stayed for the rest of her journey. Cookie awoke every day with a smile on her face and a song in her heart. She opened her home to anyone needing a bite to eat, or a place to rest. Being strong in her faith, she raised her children and grandchildren to always follow the Lord. She believed that laughter is the best medicine, a good song can fix anything, feet were made for dancing, and above else, home is the place you can always come back to. Love and happiness are the greatest riches one can have, and Linda "Cookie" Loadwick was indeed, an extremely rich lady. She will be greatly missed by us all. Deceased's Funeral Arrangements Cremation entrusted to McNutt Funeral Home, Lufkin, Tx. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. .
