Jimmie Faye Hight

Jimmie Faye Hight, 79 of Lufkin, Texas passed away on February 24, 2023, after a battle with Parkinson and Dementia.

Faye was born on March 30, 1943, in Lufkin, Texas to the late Jimmie and Myrtie (Phillips) Short.

After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. Texas in 1961, she married Tony Ray Hight and had two children Jimmy and Michelle.

In 2000, Faye retired from the Lufkin State School as a Dorm Supervisor after 24 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Tony Ray Hight.

Survivors include her children, son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Kathy Hight of Pollok, daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Randall Palmore of Lufkin. Grandchildren, Crystal and Colin Mann of Lumberton and Brittany and Brian Morgan of Nederland. Kendall Palmore of Tyler and Great Grandchild Skylar Morgan of Nederland. Sister and brother-in-law Pat and Morgan Edwards of Greenbrier, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the McNutt Funeral Home Chapel 400 S. First St. Lufkin, Texas 75901 with Kevin Hight officiating.
