Jerry Dewayne Roberts, age 29, of Lufkin, Texas went to be with his lord and savior on Thursday, January 4, 2024. He is survived by his parents Julie and Robert Costa, sister Sarah Brandt and her fiancé Robert Horsley and sister Jennifer Roberts. Brothers Joseph Scott and Brian Roberts. His best friend Daniel Weisinger. Aunt Jennifer and Uncle John Watson, uncle Brian Thrailkill, cousins Cameron and Dillon. Nephew Johnathan Brandt Jr. and Nieces Maci Roberts, Brianna and Kadilyn Nye. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry Thrailkill, Frank and Doris Merrill, and his older brother Kevin Roberts and niece Rosaleen Roberts. Jerry was known for his infectious laughter and kind heart. He had a passion for adventure and was always ready to explore new places and try new things. His love of nature was evident in his frequent camping trips, where he found solace and peace. Whether he was strolling through a park or lounging on the beach, Jerry had a special way of finding joy in the simple things in life. His family and friends will always cherish the memories of his warm smile and the laughter he brought into their lives. Jerry had a special bond with his siblings, and he cherished the time spent with them, creating unforgettable moments that will be treasured forever. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he always made sure to brighten their days with his playful spirit and love. Jerry's love for music, particularly his fondness for Taylor Swift, was a reflection of his vibrant personality and eclectic taste. His passion for music brought joy to those around him, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on through the laughter and love he shared with those he held dear. May he rest in peace, knowing that he will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. Jerry’s service will be officiated by Reverend Walker McWilliams at McNutt Funeral Home located at 400 S. First St, Lufkin, TX 75901, on January 20th at 11 a.m.
