A.J. Stanley Jr, affectionately known as "Brother," was born on March 17, 1961, in Houston, Texas, and passed away on May 30, 2023, in Lufkin, Texas, due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was a loving, funny, and kind person who will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.


Brother was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. Stanley and June Stanley. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mike and Vanessa Skidmore, his five children Miranda White, Savannah Nelson, Devin Marshall, Dustin Stanley, and Shada Stanley, and his eight grandchildren Alexis, Seth, Aaliyah, Christopher, Ayla, Slade, Korbin, and Vontae. He also leaves behind his nieces Tiffani and Misti, and his nephew Clayton, who will cherish their memories of him.


After completing high school, Brother emerged as a well-known and talented carpenter, specializing in beautiful cabinetry. His exceptional skill and craftsmanship garnered him respect and admiration from both colleagues and clients alike. His work will no doubt continue to be appreciated and admired by many in the years to come.


A lover of music and nature, Brother found solace in the simple pleasures of life. He relished the opportunity to watch the sun go down over the lake and listen to the sounds of nature as he spent time outdoors. His love for animals was evident in the compassionate way he cared for them and the joy they brought him.


Brother's warm and welcoming personality made him a valued friend to many in his community. He enjoyed cruising the town and visiting with his many friends, creating lasting bonds that will continue to be cherished even in his absence.


In his 62 years, Brother touched many lives with his loving, funny, and kind demeanor. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will never be forgotten.
